The Stahl House is a manifesto for bold living above Los Angeles. Perched on the edge of the city, it invites you to make clear choices, to live openly, honestly and without excess. Here, life unfolds in glass and steel, where the horizon replaces walls and the city becomes part of everyday living. The house challenges you to slow down, to observe, and to experience space, light and structure in their purest form. Not merely to exist, but to truly live.

(Re)connect with yourself, with the landscape and with the city at the Stahl House. This is a place that celebrates clarity of mind, creative freedom and architectural integrity. Shape your own experience within its iconic openness, whether it becomes a quiet retreat, a source of artistic inspiration or a shared moment suspended above Los Angeles. Like the architecture itself, the experience is defined by restraint, intention and the freedom to imagine.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; And to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style.

Reviving a 60s villa

Perched above Los Angeles, the Stahl House embodies the radical spirit of 1960s modernism. Its original elements : exposed steel structure, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and open-plan living are not reinvented, but carefully reasserted through a contemporary lens. The architecture celebrates transparency and light, dissolving the boundaries between inside and outside and allowing the city and sky to become integral parts of the living space. The fluid layout creates a continuous visual and spatial flow, where each area naturally connects to the next without interruption.

Nature plays a central role in the experience of the house.
The surrounding landscape and iconic infinity pool extend the architecture outward, reinforcing the dialogue between structure and environment. Materials are deliberately restrained: steel, glass and concrete, chosen for their honesty and timelessness. Carefully selected furnishings, art and design pieces complement the architecture without overpowering it, blending mid-century icons with subtle contemporary accents. The result is a space of remarkable clarity and balance, where the enduring modernity of the Stahl House is expressed with elegance, precision and quiet confidence.

“When I conceived the Stahl House, my intention was simple and radical: to let structure, light and landscape speak for themselves. Steel and glass were not aesthetic gestures, but honest answers to the climate, the site and the way people live. I wanted the house to hover lightly above the city, open to the horizon, free from unnecessary walls and conventions. This house is not about shelter alone, but about experience—about living with the sky, the city and time itself. Architecture, to me, must be clear, restrained and purposeful. When form follows logic and materials are allowed to be what they are, a house can become more than a building: it can become a way of seeing the world.”
